VINYL IDOL: TINA TURNER

Ike and Tina Turner's album "What You Hear Is What You Get" was a live recording from Carnegie Hall released in 1971. It is one of my favorite pieces of vinyl that I listen to ALL the time. Although Ike and Tina were not compatible in their personal lives, the music they made was true brilliance that no one could ever recreate. The best shake your ass soulful shit you have ever heard...Tina was a mesmerizing performer and IS a true style icon...

This is my interpretation of what she might of worn while rocking on stage back in the 70's...yesterday meets today...inspired by the album cover...
Tina is known for those LEGS!!...there is no doubt that she would be rocking these short ass shimmy shaking dresses...
3.1 Phillip Lim: side draped sequin dress
Anna Sui: silk tulle sequin embellished dress

Before the high stiletto we all know today...the slingback heel was a high sexy heel (and still is in my book)...metallics and animal prints...grrrrrr...
Carlos by Carlos Santana: curiosity sandal in bronze
Leopard print slingback pumps

These fringed bib necklaces would be perfect for her overly energetic performances...anything that swings is rockin'...
E2: black fringe necklace
Chain and suede fringe necklace

The superstar would be glammed out in gems...now I am not one who usually likes diamonds but damn that rose cut diamond is AMAZING...
Kenneth Jay Lane: leopard earrings
Swarvoski: appolon ring
Lucifer Vir Honestus: rose cut diamond ring
